About This Quote
The idea of keeping score in a marriage is to find out how well you’re doing and what you can do to improve. This might be achieved by keeping track of the household expenses and the amount of time spent on work and chores. However, this method has a downside. It can lead to resentment if one person is constantly doing all the housework while the other person goes out with friends or relaxes at home.
By keeping score, people are often forced into an unfair situation. Either they are constantly working while their partner is at home enjoying themselves, or they are constantly helping with work while their partner is relaxing. My advice is not to keep score.
My advice is to not keep score at all.
